Course Summary:
The covered topics include changes in the preceding biennium to Rule 61G15, Florida Administrative Code, as well as changes in Chapters 455 and 471 of the Florida Statutes. In addition, recent individual disciplinary and unlicensed practice cases are discussed in depth.

This course is based on changes in the preceding Biennium 2009 / 2010, and it includes the following information:

Chapter 455 of the Florida Statutes.
Chapter 471 of the Florida Statutes.
Rule 61G15, Florida Administrative Code.
Disciplinary and unlicensed practice cases as conducted by the Florida Engineers Management Corporation (FEMC).

Course Objectives:
Description of the importance and responsibilities of the Florida Board of Professional Engineers.
Description of the purpose of the Florida Engineers Management Corporation.
Identification of applicable changes in Chapters 455 and 471, Florida Statutes.
Identification of applicable changes in Rule 61G15, Florida Administrative Code.
Discussion of Disciplinary Cases and Applicable Law References

Faculty: Abraham Lee PE, MBA. Mr Lee has been approved by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers to present the Florida Laws and Rules course since 2008.  Mr. Lee’s course is focused on informing and presenting to Professional Engineers practical and common-sense guidelines when practicing engineering in the State of Florida.
